Beverly Lane Haul

I never thought to consider myself a sucker. I watched DulceCandy87 and Makeupbymel do their Beverly Lane hauls and I almost died. If I didn't have that ruffle top in white I don't know what I would do. So I got onto their website and checked it out. Everything was cute, but only a few stuff made it into my checkout bag. So I enter my coupon code to get 10% off my entire purchase. But then I realize.... Shipping and Handling for 4 items was $26.55. I mean I did go for the 2 day shipping but only because regular shipping was $24.. I don't know... I tried everything on and everything fits great except the skirt. The tops really make you look thinner, well they make me look thinner at least.

A few things I noticed :
All of the Beverly Lane tops are long. But it works on my body cause I have a long torso.
None of the items had any tags on them
All of the items were wrinkled.


I mean the wrapper was a nice little touch. But all of my items were just folded and wrapped in tissue paper then stuffed into a US postal envelope... I don't know. The stuff that I got from CharlotteRusse at least was wrapped in plastic beforehand. Overall I don't think I'll be buying anything from Beverly Lane again. But the stuff is really cute. I just wish they had a store.

Same homegirl, Different day

It's a little strange to see me and Alex hang out. We're so different but we're the same. And that's all I ask for in a friend. =) I love makeup and everything girly. And she can't even walk into sephora without being bored. LOL. But she's so downright awesome and goofy. We're the same. =) We can just be walking in the mall and start dancing to the mall music. People look at us like we're hella crazy but we honestly couldn't care less. She's a way better dancer than I am so whatever I'm doing just looks silly to her moves. We can talk and talk about everything. We can beat a subject to death. Like we'll talk about.. chicken nuggets all day. lol. I love her.

NARS - Orgasm

Most of my favorite lip glosses are by NARS. And THE favorite lipgloss by NARS is in Orgasm. It's a peachy pink color with gold shimmers. And it's fantastic. You can wear it alone or over a nude/peach lipstick. It really is the best everyday color.

Now since we're on the topic of NARS orgasm. They have a nail polish. But this nail polish is absolutely awful, the brush makes the polish look streaky and the color payoff does nothing for my nails. I actually returned the polish back to Sephora the next day because I was completely unsatisfied. But. =) tonight I was looking through my nail polish and realized I haven't tried most of them. So I looked over them and China Glaze "Naked" caught my eye. And the strangest thing occurred to me. Naked should be Orgasm. LOL. It's exactly like taking my lip gloss and putting it on my nails. It's fabulous. The perfect peachy/pink color with gold shimmers. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a NARS orgasm dupe. In the photos it doesn't do it justice. It definitely photographs more pink. And without the flash it photographs more peachy. But it really is amazing. Trust me. Now this is just my opinion. NARS and China Glaze are both top notch beauty lines that give you great results. In the pictures: they are both the same bottle of color. Those are not my real nails. They are gel acrylics. I got them done professionally. They were mighty pricey, $43 dollars. I'm never wasting that much money on gel again. Next time I'll just opt for acrylics and pay $20, that's with tip. I LOVE how my french tips turn out, but they always chip. So I tell them I just want a manicure and acrylics, then I leave without polish because I honestly think I can paint my nails better than anyone else.

This took entirely way too long to get together. LOL. I planned on doing this the day that she posted up the contest but you know how procrastination gets you? LOL. Okay well here we go. The bag I've been rocking for a while now is Armani Exchange. My aunt gave it to me cause she couldn't wear it anymore, she said the chain makes the bag x10000000 heavier. (It really does, but I can't break her heart and not rock it. (= you know?) So even though this bag is huge! I don't put that much stuff in it because it really does get heavy. PURE mints - I love these! YUMMY! and it has a mirror in it!! crazy huh? LOL
NYC brow liner - Taupe, works really well. Only needs one application, but i'm pretty paranoid
Glasses - I need to wear glasses when I'm driving really far in the dark. otherwise I just wear them to change it up a little. =)
Clinique moisturizer - for very dry skin to dry combination skin. I LOVE THIS!! omg, my second day using this and I feel like it's magic. I have very dry skin, but this makes it feel so smooth and helps my flaking and peeling.
MaryKay perfume - I've had this since I was 14.. Lol, and I love it. I don't really know what smell it is. But on the bottle it says embrace Dreams?
Air Freshener - Baby Powder. Ever walk into a room and it was funky? and you didn't know what to say? I spray this when they're not looking. =)
Purel Hand Sanitizer - Get it.. lol. it's necessary
Vaseline Hand Lotion - Works okay, leaves my hands feeling a little greasy after a while. But if my hands are really dry, they don't feel greasy.

okay, so i kept one.. and got another.

I went back to MAC the very next day and this time I brought my friend Alex for support. I know she wouldn't let me buy anything stupid. =) okay. So after checking out lipstickrules's blogspot I wanted to blog about my only MAC lipstick, because I caved. From the Color Craft Collection I picked up in my last haul two lipsticks. One in Cherish (not from the collection), and one in Madly Creative. It's a frost. I'm no good at describing colors but the first picture is me with it on and the last is the tube. I really don't buy lippies at all because I'm so orally fixated. I'm always chewing my lip, eating, drinking, just doing stuff with my mouth that the whole thing is ridiculous. I normally just wear a lip balm and a lip gloss and never reapply it. But I really love this color, and I'm going to wear it. =) Be prepared, I will show you an empty tube on Madly Creative. That's a PROMISE. =)So when I went to MAC I feel like the MAC assistant tried to get one over on me.. lol, she kept pushing stuff on me. I was like "No thanks, seriously, no thanks" I almost walked out of there with a backup of my foundation, 4 dazzleglasses, the naked honey perfume in light, and two of the naked honey skin salves. But because of my ROCK Alex, I only got the skin salve. Thank God, cause you already know I didn't need any of that stuff. LOL. The skin salve, doesn't really smell like a strong honey, and it's very creamy, a little goes a LONG way. It's okay I guess, I mean I still can't believe I bought Vaseline for $18.00 but whatever, it's not worth returning.

Look.. I have a problem.. I'm officially cutting myself off. NO MORE MAKEUP. Seriously. I need to stop. I just got paid this morning, and right when I get off work I go shopping.. Last week I worked so many hours and had time and a half from 4th of July. So my check was pretty big. I know I needed to get some shoes cause the ones I'm wearing right now are so busted it's not even funny. the bottoms are coming off. But I drove to Discover Mills cause over there it had a CCO and I convinced myself if I'm going to buy any makeup today it'll be discounted... They didn't have the brushes that I wanted or anything appealing. And in Discover Mills there isn't a MAC store. So I drove a little further to the Mall of Georgia, they have a Sephora and a Mac and plenty other stores. I walked past all the clothing stores no problem. I didn't wanna buy any clothes today I guess. Then I walked into Sephora... Kill me now. I was just there yesterday!!!!

Escpecially at Sephora.. It's all going back!!! Tomorrow morning!! RIGHT AWAY! well. The things in Bold I'm keeping.

And yes, I got some shoes. The whole reason why I went shopping on the first place. And i'm keeping them, even though they're too nice to wear to work. I'm keeping them and I'm wearing them outside of work too. I had to get a size 6Y.. lol, that's a Youth(kids) shoe. But I love them!!

true life: i have a makeup addiction

This morning I drove down to Georgia State so I could take my Chemistry test. You had to get 13 out of 44 to pass. LOL. I liked my odds a lot. So since I already drove down to state.. I decided I would go to Sephora in Lenox.. oh god... My project 10 pan thing.. didn't really work out. I mean. I finished some stuff.. lol. A bronzer, a couple mascaras, and thats it. geez. Well first I went to the MAC counter so I could pick up a foundation since the one I have is way too light cause I'm tan now, I got the moistureblend foundation in NC44 since I have dry skin, if you have oily skin I would suggest getting the Studio tech foundation. But I really love the moistureblend foundation. I don't really need that much foundation but since my skin has been peeling from the sun I need to even out my skin color. I also just picked up an extra brush from sephora. It's the foundation brush #47. And mascara, oh god. I don't need any more mascara. But I picked up the too faced lash injection. I've never tried it but it looks promising. When I walked into sephora I went straight to the NARS section to check out some new eyeshadows. And it wasn't until I just took the pictures that I noticed the colors are SUPER similar. LOL. too similar. But I swatched them again and they look different. But honestly not that diffrent. I should have just chosen one of them. I got Key Largo(left) and Summer Time(Right). At sephora I always spend about 4 hours just looking and picking, my basket gets bigger, then it gets smaller. LOL cause I really can't make any decisions lol. But since I ran out of my bronzer I picked up a new one, I went with Stila bronzer in shade 1. And since Tao (iamgrape1119) raves and raves about the smudge pots I decided to pick one up and try it out. And last but not least. I went to Urban Decay and picked up the "Get Baked" Palette!! YAY! =) I been wanting this for so long! I'm so into bronzers and the Sin primer potion. I picked up a bottle, and yes, I got the new tip applicator. Also I got another Zero eyeliner and one in Yeyo which is like a metallic white. It's really one of the best eyeliners because it stays on and it goes on smoothly. AND yes, god. I got another mascara. The big Fatty waterproof.. I really need to stop it with the freaking mascaras. I've got a million tubes that are full and new in my drawer.. OH WELL! =) oh yea, I forgot. You know I couldn't leave Sephora without picking up a bottle of nail polish.. I got Metro Chic (its a purple/grey color) it's very strange.. But I like it. I'm not really sure why, but I picked it up and I love it. LOL. The pictures didn't really come out that well so I'm not posting it up. But there are pictures on the website.

"Wanna go to Savannah?"

Have you ever wanted to pack your shit cause you were bored and just leave? Well I did half of it. Lol. I left. I didn't pack anything. The boys went down there solo, with just the clothes they were wearing. I grabbed my bathing suit, suntan lotion, and some towels. It was 4am on thursday and we just got done eating waffle house. Who's idea was this anyways?
lol. We took the drive, my boy Kiko was flying down the road. We got there in 3 hours. It felt like nothing. We got to the beach at 7:30.
Put our towels down and woke up watching the sunset. It was beautiful. Actually it was raining when we got there, but we didn't give a fuck. We were ready. We had already drove hours to get there. Do I look like I'm not from Savannah? Lol. It seemed like everyone asked me where I was from. The BIG A! There was hella cuties on the beach, seriously. Guys were looking so freaking good and there were so many cute girls for the boys.
The water was pretty calm. At some points there were some BIG waves. That was the best part. We stayed on the beach until 7pm. We went to the city and grabbed some mickey d's. Then took the drive home like a man. Headed back at 9pm. The sun was setting and we were cruising on the way back. I got home at 1am Friday. Took me a lonnng ass shower, I had sand in places i never wanted sand. Slept for 12 hours to wake up at 2pm and go to work. =) work was murder on my body. You gotta love my life. =)

Project 10 Pan

Yes, I have a problem.. ahh. Too much freaking makeup. I almost went to Big Lots to pick up a new shelving system for my makeup.. But then I realized the smarter thing to do would be utilize what I have. And make it work. And the smartest thing to do. Is do what all the smart Gurus are doing. I for one, have a mascara and nail polish problem. I have way too much. Back ups of back ups. So until my nail polish gets too thick to wear, or my mascara gets too dry to use. I'm not buying another one. 10 products. I guess I'm cheating a little cause I'm giving myself a little head start by counting the stuff that I bought before my last haul. But whatever. I've got 1 nail polish (China Glaze VIII) and 2 mascaras (Last Stiletto and XXL curl power). I'm going to force myself to use up every bit of my lip glosses. I've also got a few things that are super low like my bronzer and some nars blushes that look a little dented. =) WISH ME LUCK! Oh and I think I'm going to start limiting my hauls too. With a price or a quantity. Not sure yet. But yea...

 

Let me upgrade you

Right now I currently have the Samsung Behold. I like it. But I'm so sick of it. I need buttons.. I can't stand the touch screen anymore. Just the fact that I can't feel what i'm doing most of the time. My best friend told me that the new sidekick is the shit. So he got me all hyped up about it. So I went to check it out. And yes.. I fell in love. And yes, I want the purple one..  =) AH! I want it right now!! Once I get my money right. It's the first thing I'm grabbing. Forget makeup right now, even though i'm craving that Mac 109 brush like a pregnant woman. The phone will be 250 with an upgrade. And I'm probably going to be with T-Mobile for forever and a day. I love them and they love me. =) I might not even get the upgrade though cause honestly the guy waived the fee and gave me the phone without a 2 year contract. So maybe, if i'm looking cute. =) he'll do it. Or I might shell out the extra hundreds.. yea right. Go with the contract buddddddy. And then again, everyone says I should get the black one. But I don't know.. the purple one is so freaking cute to me.. But black goes with everything. But I know if i get the black one, I won't love it as much and I'd probably be super careless with it. Like that damn blackberry pearl I had. I tossed that shit at the wall probably about 2098401384 times before superman ate it. 

BOOTIES

I think I'm in love, these are the most comfortable boots I have ever purchased. I love them! They're so cute! I was in the store and they had a buy one get one half off! So I picked up these and bought my sisters some flats that ended up costing $5! Right now I'm rocking them with a pair of black shorts and a cream top. LOVING IT!

China Glaze Nail Polish

Some people collect.. shoes, or like rocks. lol. But I honestly love Nail Polish I tell myself all the time, "No more nail polish Karen " and still end up leaving the store with like 4 polishes in hand. The nail polish isn't the ABSOLUTE best. But it's good. And I think it's worth it. Especially if you get them online at www.8ty8beauty.com or at www.sallybeauty.com they've got so many shades it's ridic. I like the cream the most, I don't like the Glitter or the Shimmer too much. I do have a few in the Shimmer though. In my opinion the shimmer goes on very streaky no matter how many coats you use. Before I was introduced to China Glaze. I used Sallys. Those honestly chipped within two seconds no matter what I did. But I still keep them because they're so easy to find. My China Glaze Collection isn't as big as I want. I'm still working on it. But this is what I got.

My sister went on a cruise and picked me up a few gifts, 

she knows how I love my nail polish so she picked this one up! It changes color in the sun, it's been raining here in Atlanta so I haven't got a chance to test it out and see it. I'm wearing it right now though. In hopes that It'll be sunny tomorrow and I can see it. When it goes on, it's this sheer pink/coral color. But in the sun, it turns purple. Isn't that crazy!??!!?

Drugstore Haul

I went to my local Rite Aid today and picked up some goodies. 

I normally don't wear foundation because I don't really need it too much. My skin is very dry, I actually have Eczema on my chin and neck. So I just try to moisturize and stay away from foundation. But everyone is talking about this fantastic foundation, so I decided to pick it up. If you couldn't guess it's the Revlon ColorStay Foundation. I got two different colors too. Cause I honestly couldn't tell being this is my first foundation which is my color. So I got the 250 Fresh Beige and the 320 True Beige both very similar, so I decided that if I was the darker shade I would give the lighter one to my sister, and if I was the lighter shade I would just save it

 for the summer when I get tan. 

I also picked up some Revlon Eyeshadows. I got a bunch of singles from their Matte Collection. And I got a few quads. The quads are absoultely amazing! They are so pigmented and so cute! You can use them however you like, or I do and don't really care. They're beautiful!

My little sister is so big now! I swear I still see her as like a 12 year old. She has her Graduation at New Birth Baptist Church. Lakeside High School. She's just so big, and I'm so proud of her!

I absolutely love NARS products. Their concealer is the first concealer I've used that does not make my skin feel heavy. It blends so well and feels so lightweight. Their Blushes are absoulutely gorgeous. I can't say anything else about them. I love them. Their Lip Glosses are Amazing too! My favorite right now is Orgasm, it has a shimmery peachy color to it that is just to die for. I'm so in love with NARS.

Get to know me first.

-What's with the name? In my family, I've always been the motherly one. Grown. Mature as hell. Smart. Even though i'm the 3rd of 4. My older sister and older brother always come to me for advice, permission, and just to talk. (/This is a picture of my and my uncle, I love my family to death\)

-Talk about yourself! I'm dynamic, I'm loud, and I'm blunt. I say things and forget that sometimes my words can affect the person. I work like a dog, and study like a beast. Since school is out, i'm out. I road trip more than anyone. My short fuse can get me in trouble. I fight, I argue, and I always win. Once I get frustrated, I pack my shit and get the fuck on. (/ Me and my best friend, He's always down for a road trip with me. Right here we're in Vero Beach in about 89 degree weather. <3!\)

-So, What do you do? I LOVE to bloggg, it's a freak kind of thing. I talk and talk, so blogging is just a way of talking when noone is around to listen. 

-What do you like? As far as celebrities.. I'm in love with Channing Tatum. I'll have his babies any day. =) I really love to paint my nails. After a hard day at work, I just wanna kick up my feet and grab some China Glaze. Sometimes doing my own nails isn't good enough so I use my sister's fingers too. If it's not doing my nails, It's doing my hair. Curling it, straightening it, crimping it, styling it into a bun or ponytail. 

-So, are you a girly girl? If anything... I'm a girl. LOL. I do have emotions, I cry like a girl, I talk like a girl, I'm a girl. I like Make-up and I like pink. So I guess you can say I'm a girly girl. Don't get me wrong though. I have a strong jab and I can kick your ass.

-Do you play any sports? Not really. I mean I do have the height to be one kick ass basketball star but I just like to shoot for fun, I'm not good because I don't care. I want to play but not for real. I love football too, it's such a rough sport. Bowling is fun too (yes, I consider bowling a sport) I used to bowl a 7.. yes.. 7/300. But now I'm getting better. averaging about ..156/300 (/Me and my sister at Red Carpet Lanes in Duluth\)

-Do you have a job? Yes. I work at a gas station (QT). Most of the time I'm cleaning and organizing. The job is very intense, you make a lot of money but you do a lot of shit too. It's demanding. Working in retail is probably one of the most difficult things you can do, you need to have a strong mind you HAVE to have patience.

-What are you going to use this blog for? I'll most likely talk about what I'm doing, what I did, or what's new. I'll post pictures in every blog no matter what I'm talking about. I'll post pictures of hauls and pictures of hair.
